As the countdown to the Super Bowl begins, so does the excitement of planning the ultimate game day feast… this is probably my favorite part of the Super Bowl! We either have people who are there for the football, but we also have people there for the food.
This year, I have decided to take an easier route on snacks and food. The past years, I have been royally drained with planning the food, purchasing the snacks, and then also making them! For some people, they love hosting and creating an extravagant game day set-up, but this year, I want to relax and enjoy the game. In fact, I personally feel that food tastes better knowing how little effort you had to put into a dish!
Today, I am going to share the easiest and most delicious dip, the Super Bowl Rotel Dip. Although this is not a show-stopping dessert or plate that will steal the spotlight for any gathering, it will for sure win many hearts. In all realness, we all just want great food.
In my opinion, it takes a jungle to run a successful Super Bowl, so I am all about creating dishes that are quick and easy. This Super Bowl dip that I am sharing today only takes three ingredients and was whipped together in 5 minutes… talk about a Super Bowl win!
Growing up, my mother made the classic velveeta cheese dip, but since getting married, I married a man who needed seasoning and meat for each dish that I make. Knowing this, I needed to revamp my recipe. This is the inspiration for this dip! I personally feel that people make this dish regardless of me posting about it, but it’s one recipe I truly love as well as the people around me.
One thing that I love about this dip is how versatile it is. You can add or subtract things to fit your style. Some days, I make it as simple as possible. Other days, I make it as extravagant as I want to! In this recipe, I am opting and trying to achieve a stress free dip that doesn’t involve cutting an onion.
Regardless of what you make of this Super Bowl, I am sure it will be a successful hit. Join me on this flavor-packed journey as I share the secrets and success behind this mouth-watering creation.
What you will need:
- 1 pound of cooked ground beef
- 1 pack of Velveeta cheese
- 1 can of Rotel
- Tortilla chips for dipping
Instructions:
- Heat up your skillet to start browning your ground beef. Once warm, add your ground beef.
- On another burner, heat a pan up to medium heat. Once warm, add your chopped cheese and Rotel can. If needed, you can add a splash of milk, seasonings, or anything your heart desires. Stir occasionally.
- Go back to your meat, stir, and add any seasoning to your meat. I personally just do salt, pepper, all seasoning and onion powder. Once fully cooked, remove the grease. Once the grease is removed, add the meat to the cheese mixture.
- Stir the cheese mixture until everything is melted and fully incorporated.
- When the cheese is melted, turn the burner on low and serve!
Although this dip is not a culinary symphony or a Gordon Ramsey creation, it is a for sure success dip for any occasion. Again, I truly love how simple or how meticulous you want to do with this dip, but whether you are a seasoned cook or a beginner, this will be your perfect companion this Super Bowl.
Its simplicity is a testament to the notion that great cooking can be achieved with minimal effort and savory foods! Cheers to simplicity, and hopefully your Super Bowl celebration will be just as stress-free as this recipe.
